MINECRAFT XP CALCULATOR
Calculate how many experience points you need to reach a target level, or convert raw XP points back into a Minecraft level and progress bar.
XP Input
CHOOSE A CALCULATION
If you only know your level, leave this at 0%. The bar percentage is an estimate because Minecraft does not normally display the exact raw XP inside your current level.
Quick Targets
Use raw experience points, not the green level number shown above the hotbar.

Useful Reference
Level 30 requires 1,395 total XP from level 0. Going from the start of level 27 back to level 30 requires 306 XP.
How Minecraft XP Scales
XP IS NOT LINEAR
Higher levels cost progressively more experience. Minecraft uses three level-cost bands, which is why level 30 is much more expensive than level 15.
| Current level | XP to next level |
|---|---|
| 0-15 | 2L + 7 |
| 16-30 | 5L - 38 |
| 31+ | 9L - 158 |
Common Questions
XP CALCULATOR FAQ
How much XP is level 30?
Level 30 requires 1,395 total XP points from level 0.
Does the same XP curve work in Java and Bedrock?
Yes. The standard player experience level curve uses the same three level formulas in Java and Bedrock.
Why is the XP bar percentage optional?
Your displayed level does not tell the calculator how far you are through the current bar. Leaving it at 0% calculates from the start of that level.
Can I convert raw XP back into a level?
Yes. Use the XP → Level tab to see the whole level, progress inside that level, and points needed for the next level.
